ClearSky Financial, LLC (“ClearSky”) is a provider of payday loans, also known as payday advances or short term cash advances. Payday loans are small loans, generally about $300, that are extended for a short period of time, typically 2 weeks Payday lending is a heavily regulated industry by both state and federal regulators; each state has very different rules
ClearSky is licensed to operate in Washington State, but will be expanding rapidly to California and other major US states
Customers can apply for loans both online and on the phone; this document outlines requirements for the online portion only and not the phone portion. Payday lenders use information from application forms, along with data from credit bureaus and other third party date bureaus to decide whether to extend credit to a given customer based on it’s underwriting rules Funds are deposited into customer’s checking account using the ACH (automated clearing house) network; repayments are also automatically processed using ACH Some states allow “roll-overs” which is the automatic renewal of loans when they become due; however this is not allowed in Washington State.
